Watch your knees …



If you play tennis or dance, you’re 8 times more likely to injure your knees as compared to your male partner. The knees’ anterior cruciate ligament is the weak link - and when it tears, it can mean being out of action for a year. You can’t exactly prevent the injury, but knowing when you’re most vulnerable will help. Research says that the ligament is weakest during the first half of the menstrual cycle. So strengthen your knees with lunges – the leg muscles will take the stress off those ligaments.
